Resumo

Las propuestas de nuevos campos de reflexión analítica y conceptual en turismo constituyen un fenómeno de creciente importancia. De entre estos, cabe resaltar el estudio del papel jugado por las TIC y el llamado e-tourism en la competitividad de la empresa. El objetivo de este trabajo es generar un marco conceptual sobre el desarrollo de las TIC en el mercado turístico. En esta línea, se plantea conocer el nivel de uso de las TIC en la empresa turística y, en concreto, en la industria hotelera. La utilidad de esta propuesta se halla en los beneficios que un mayor conocimiento sobre la incorporación de las TIC a la industria turística puedan aportar a la comunidad científica y a la profesión, al recoger la evidencia existente en cuanto a las relaciones entre TIC y diversas variables del marketing relacional.
