PhD in Pedagogy (2006). Full Professor of Theory and History of Education at the University of Valencia. Consulting Professor of History of Social Education at the Open University of Catalonia. Professor of the Doctorate in Pedagogical Sciences at the Università di Bologna. Co-editor of the magazine “Espacio, Tiempo y Educación” (Scopus), member of the Editorial Board of the magazines “Educació i Història” and “Debates para la Historia” (Mexico); as well as the Scientific Committee of “Education Forum” (Scopus), “História da Educaçao” (Scopus) and “Pedagogical Trends” (UAM). Member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Society for the History of Education (SEDHE). He has been Academic Secretary (2012-2015) and Director of the Department of Comparative Education and History of Education (2015-2019), and since 2019 Director of the Master of Psychopedagogy at the University of Valencia. I have carried out research stays at universities in Spain, Belgium, Italy, Peru, Mexico and Ecuador. My lines of research focus on the history of contemporary education and educational policy, as well as teaching innovation and, fundamentally, the study of games as an element of pedagogical renewal.
