Abstract
The main objective of this paper is to provide empirical evidence about the effectiveness of serious games in university teaching. To this end, management simulations developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology were implemented in one subject from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Valencia, in the academic year 2014- 2015. The opinion of students on this methodology was gathered using a questionnaire. The main conclusion was that with this tool the students were motivated and focused in these activities, which allowed to achieve the learning objectives of the course.
