The Vocational Education and Training (VET) system in Spain was well established as a result of its steady improvement since the mid-1980s (Martínez-Morales and Marhuenda, 2020). The landmark of this improvement was the approval of the Law on Qualifications and Vocational Education in 2002, establishing the basis for the mutual recognition between formal initial vocational education and non-formal vocational training (for unemployed people) and continuing vocational training (CVET, optional for all employees)
