Zusammenfassung

This article analyses the novel La capital del olvido (2004) of Horacio Vázquez-Rial. From this work is made, on one hand, an approximation to the capacity of the police genre to address issues related to the historical memory, both in the Spanish context and the Argentine. On the other hand, is investigated the conflicting identity from the appropriation of children during the last military dictatorship in Argentina.
