Abstract
Intransitive verbal constructions with a preposition cause difficulties to Spanishspeaking learners, especially in the cases of verbs accepting a similar construction in Spanish in which the only change lies in the preposition. The description of our corpus is focused on nine French grammars published in Spain from 1970 to the present day. The occurrence of such constructions in these grammars has been studied in order to find a successful way of explaining this issue by taking into account the learning context of the Spanish-speaking learner.
