Análisis estructural de las representaciones sociales del adicto a sustancias tóxicas

Resumo

The main goal of this research is to make an analysis of the image in different types of addicts to institucionalized and non- institucionalized substances, depending on three structural variables: gender, age and level of studies. For that purpose, were selected 222 subjects of both genders and older than fifteen, who were applied the IMAGO-93 questionnaire. This questionnaire is made from ten sentences alluding to different conceptions of the drug consumer, and based on four different dimensions rationally stablished: refuse, Hedonism, Pathology and Psychological problems. Each one of these senytences was presenred to the opinion of the subjects by the Likert method with five steps: from totally agreement to totally disagreement. This scale of ten items was applied to different possibilities of consume related to five different types o f substances: tobacco, alcohol, cannabis, stimulants and heroine. Different ANOVAS were used, using as dependent variables the punctuation from each one of the rational factors for each one of the different type of consumers; and as non- dependent variables, the categories stablished for the three structural variables used. The results are also commented.
