Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) is designed to assess global self-esteem. Its successive validations have found empiric evidence in diverse samples and studies for a simple-factor solution, with the presence of method effects, mainly using CFA-CTCM. However, validations of the Portuguese versions have studied the factor structure with EFA and CFA-CTCU. The aim of the research study is to validate the scale using CFA-CTCM to study the method effect. Two samples of adolescents between 14 and 18 years old are used: sample 1, composed by 1200 adolescents from Cabo Verde Archipielago, and sample 2, composed by 2739 ado- lescents from Angola. It has been used a Portuguese version of the RSES. Results show better fitting for the model including method effect presence, for either Cabo Verde and Angola samples.
