Valoración de la evaluación en competencias a través de modelos de elección discreta

Zusammenfassung

The framework settled by the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) represents a substantial change in the way the teaching and learning process is organized. One of the main pursues of the Bologna Process on the systems of higher education is training students in competences adapted to the new requirements of the labour market. In terms of the grading process it means to change from a system based only in the final exam to a system based on a continuous evaluation in which students should participate actively in the learning process throughout the course. The main target of this work is to analyse the impact over the final grade of the different tools designed to evaluate the subject Economic History teached in the first courses of the Degree in Business and Management and the Degree of Finance and Accounting at the University of Valencia in the course 2013-2014. The analysis consists on applying Discreet Choice Models to determine the impact of these tools over the probability to pass the subject and over the final grade. At the same time we evaluate whether the transversal competences are reached by the system of continuous evaluation followed.
