Javier Jiménez is Professor of Procedural Law at the University of Valencia (Spain). He is a graduate of this university and, subsequently, in the year 1998, he obtained his doctorate in the same and won the Special Award in 2000. Also has enjoyed several scholarships, including the Austrian Ministry of Education to study at the University of Vienna and other for research stays at the Universities of Milan (Italy) and Mainz (Germany). In addition, he has published twenty articles in Spanish and foreign legal journals on topics related to the work process, civil and criminal law. Currently, he is director of the research group at the University of Valencia "Process and effective protection" (PROYTEF). It has also given multiple conferences and participated in panel discussions on the International Criminal Court, the protection of consumers, the international judicial protection of human rights or the juvenile criminal process and has participated in ten research projects financed by the Ministry of Education and Science, the Department of Culture, Education and Science of the Generalitat Valenciana or the European Union, in which have been addressed in an interdisciplinary subjects, as diverse as the protection of the industrial design, the ADRs (Alternative Dispute Resolutions), and, more recently, judicial cooperation and the recognition of judgments in the framework of the European Union. In addition, he has directed several research papers, work order of master and doctoral theses, and formed part of courts of oppositions to the Administration of Justice. In his teaching activity, apart from giving the subjects of their discipline, before in the bachelor's degree and now in the Grade, has taught in the masters of "Law, Justice and Company", "International Studies and of the EU", "Right and gender-based violence" and in the case of the "Advocacy".
