Paula Martínez-Sanchis has been working as an Assistant Professor at the University of Valencia since September 2024. Prior to this position, she spent three years as a postdoctoral researcher at the Technical University of Munich (Germany). She earned her PhD from the University of Deusto, located in San Sebastián, Spain, and was awarded the Alberto Alberdi Prize for Best Doctoral Thesis by the Basque Government in 2023. She has also been a visiting researcher at various international institutions, including Queen Margaret University in the United Kingdom, Heidelberg University in Germany, and Audencia Business School in France. Additionally, she holds a Master’s degree in Business Strategy from the University of Valencia, Spain. Outside the academic field, she has professional experience as a marketing and communications assistant at the Cervantes Institute in Chicago, United States, and as a launch analyst intern at Ford Motor Company in Valencia, Spain. Her current research interests focus on the digital transformation of family businesses, particularly the factors that enable or hinder digitalization processes and the role of trust in remote work settings. She is also interested in entrepreneurial families as a distinct area of study and in the significance of territorial rootedness. Her research is primarily conducted using qualitative methodologies.
