Resumen

This work shows the results about the knowledge of Valencian history and the identity visions that emerge from it. This has been carried out from a questionnaire with Secondary Education students from a concerted and cooperative school in the Valencian Country. In addition, the study also provides sociological information, such as the native language, which has served as an analytical filter to be able to interpret the results in an identity way. Thus, the research shows a clear and generalized limitation of strictly Valencian historical knowledge beyond the recurrent reference to King James I of Aragon, as well as some identity visions that oscillate between hegemonic Valencian regionalism and Valencian linguistic nationalism.
