Abstract
En este artículo presento los argumentos centrales de mi libro True Purposes in Hegel’s Logic. En particular, desarrollo el argumento de Hegel a favor de la teleología como verdad del mecanismo, que es central en su discusión de la teleología y la objetividad de la finalidad en su lógica filosófica. Relaciono brevemente los puntos de vista de Hegel con algunas aproximaciones contemporáneas a los mecanismos y las explicaciones mecánicas para facilitar una evaluación adecuada.
