Resumen

The correlation between two speckle patterns produced by a common surface illuminated successively from two slightiy different angles depends on its rugosity. The recording of both speckles on the same negative and their post—development illumination by a converging laser beam provides. Young fringes in the Fourier plane. Their visibility is an adequate indication of the correlation degree between the speckles. The experimental and analytic procedure developed makes it possible to determine the rugosity with a precision about 10% The technique is valid for large rugosities, in excess of 4—5 un.
