Proyecto para el diseño de una red inalámbrica para la transmisión de vídeo en el proyecto educativo y divulgativo “Explora El Encín”

Abstract

“Explora El Encín” is a scientific spreading project that was set up by the “Instituto Madrileño de Investigación y Desarrollo Rural, Agrario y Alimentario (IMIDRA)” from the “Consejería de Economía e Innovación Tecnológica de la Comunidad de Madrid”. Its objective is to present the local natural environment (bird species, trees, cultivated and wild plants) and the Institute’s food, agriculture and environmental area researches. The objective of this project is to design, to develop and to set up and optimized wireless network to acquire, transmit and show real-time videos in tactile screens placed in the building of the research center. We have reduced new technologies environmental impact using wireless technologies because of the data wires and we developed it powering cameras by solar panels. Cameras chosen are very small to reduce visual impact, but they have enough quality to be used for research purposes. The project’s goal is to show interesting or difficult access places to people who have any physical or sensorial diminution from an interactive room at the beginning of the route. We have also provided bidirectional sound between cameras and the tactile screens. The project brings “Explora el Encín” to everybody and, from now, physical or sensorial conditions are not limitations. Funcional objetives are: - To develop a technologic solution to join Information and Communication Technologies with food, agriculture and environmental researches and with disabled people. - To develop the “Instituto Madrileño de Investigación y Desarrollo Rural, Agrario y Alimentario (IMIDRA)” technologic image and concretely its spread scientific Project “Explora El Encín”. - The use of emergent Technologies in the environmental education and to bring them closer to handicapped people. - To show “Explora El Encín” to all citizens, letting the interactive visualization of the natural patrimony and scientific researches be more attractive.
