Abstract
"Telling the truth" is one of traditional basic values in journalism. Media are the ultimate providers of reality. But, what means the truth in a journalistic sense? A question that becomes crucial after the birth of the phenomenon called "post-truth", since this concept is closely related to the importance that public opinion has acquired in our democracies as part of the globalised world. It also remains latent in ethics applied to the media, as it clearly concerns the delimitation of internal goods and the goals of journalism. We propose to analyse such information from two perspectives, positivist journalism and post-modern journalism, as a preliminary step for exploring a possible solution to that dichotomy by reconsidering perspectivism. Ultimately, we hope this review will serve to rebuild a solid foundation in the post-truth era.
