Abstract
The deployment of renewables implies a new relationship between society, the economy and the environment that has its effects on each territory. The aim of this book is to offer an integrated perspective of this energy transition with different perspectives that include people into the equation, from theoretical and empirical perspectives and through innovative methods. Far from technocratic decision-making that is distant from the stakeholders and population concerned by these new demands and conflicts over the use of territory, it is necessary to focus on the role of society and the responsibility it has over its space. A new scenario is opening up for the social construction of the territory in which to debate with the aim of a just transition
