Laburpena

This article analyzes, point of view of its symbology, political theory and practical application, the aggregation of the presidio of Larache to the Hispanic Monarchy. To do this, the article tries to establish the possible motivations that led the decision. Next, it tries to explain if the experience accumulated, both in the management of presidios in North Africa and founding cities throughout its empire, could influence this ocupation. Finally, it studies the first steps of the new presidio, in order to determine the integration of this new border in the Hispanic political and cultural world took place.
