Resumen

This paper has the aim to analyse in which way the distribution of silver from Barcelona, Valencia and Madrid to Italia was managed during the seventeenth century. The study will focus on the Cernezzi and Odescalchi company networks. Despite of been involved in the transport and distribution of the silver, the Company was not part of the financing group to the monarch, the «asentistas». Firstly, it will be analysed the importance of Barcelona-Genoa maritime route, although the high Maritime’s conflict during the Thirty Year War. Indeed we will recount the consignments managed by the Cernezzi and Odescalchi Company. Secondly, it will be explore the path of the silver beyond Genoa, identifying the strategic urban-points of the route and also the inversion in Italy, getting out of the “Spanish Road”, and focusing in Venice. Therewith we will demonstrate how the silver was circulating in the Mediterranean and how the active merchant networks behaved as interregional integrators.
