Zusammenfassung

Starting from a bibliometric analysis of the scientific literature on gender violence, the objective of the present study is to analyze the scientific production on this topic. Authors from Spanish and Ibero-American institutions are considered, in the time range from 2008 to 2018. Through the PRISMA methodology, a total number of 1455 articles published in the Web of Science main collection, SciElO Citation Index and MEDLINE were selected. The results point to an increase of article production throughout the years, a more solid presence of women as signing authors and among the main producers (with articles signed by men and women in collaboration being the more frequent case, even though women are the most numerous signing authors). The presence of Spanish and Brazilian female researchers particularly stands out as the most productive, with 27 journals publishing 47.5% of articles, among which Brazilian journals excel. It can be concluded that studies on gender violence in Ibero-American research are relevant.
