Abstract

This article aims to analyze the turning point of the approval of the Transparency and Good Governance Law in 2013, together with the change of presidency that occurred in the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), as a lever for change in terms of the governance of soccer in our country, in addition to the paradigm shift in society in terms of accountability, access to information and transparency in management. Through a first framing of the regulatory framework, in particular the recent Spanish Transparency Law, in light of the legal regime of sports federations in Spain, and its analysis of how it influences and configures aspects related to governance in federative organizations, an analysis of the main regulatory norm of governance in the RFEF is carried out: its code of ethics.
