Abstract

In this article we introduce an approximation to the study of the apparent contradiction between humility, promoted by the religious discourse, and pride, developed through different practices. We will examine the main spiritual religious feminine model of the 17th and 18th centuries. In order to make a better analysis we will focus on three valencian women: Blessed Inés of Benigànim, Gertrudis Anglesola and Luisa Zaragoza.
