Abstract
In this paper I present Karin de Boer's book Kant's Reform of Metaphysics. Drawing on the structure of the book, I expose De Boer's main thesis: the Critique of Pure Reason should not be understood as a destruction, but as a reform of metaphysics. In doing so, I aim to highlight the potential of her interpretation, which avoids some common misconception about Kant's critical project. In line with the spirit of the book, I argue for the importance of a reading of the history of philosophy that emphasizes the “continuation” rather than “rupture” between thinkers
