Abstract
The future of the fishing activities in the Spanish Mediterranean depends on the recognition on the past experience and our awareness of the present situation. We have offered, in this project, a synthetic and comprehensive overview of the fishing activity in Spanish Mediterranean placing a special emphasis on the overfishing and its main weaknesses and strengths. We have alsoconsidered necessary to put into practice a new philosophy of responsible fishing in the fisheries management
