Abstract
This essay deals with the subject of human develpoment which, starting from prejudices, a person builds its own intimacy by adopting the “social intimacy”. The problem descripted is to what extent these prejudices completly disapear or not, and if its posible to talk about an authentic “Self” while those still exist. According to Ortega, the distinction between the self and “life” has a vital importance.
