Résumé

This qualitative study of an exploratory nature is based on the analysis of two perspectives that coexist and interact in the same educational context, the teaching perspective and the student perspective. The educational context in which it is developed is the university, concretely, it is part of the initial teacher training that is taught in the Teaching Degrees. The issue of educational innovation is addressed in order to identify the conceptual differences and similarities between the teachers who teach in the teaching degrees and the students who are taught. The results show that there are similarities, but also certain discrepancies, between what both groups define as educational innovation. In addition, the way in which each group establishes associations between the concept of educational innovation and notions such as quality, motivation and involvement, among others, offers also an interesting perspective.
