Abstract
Transition Mentoring is a part of a mentoring model guidance, advice or assistance thatgoes beyond tutoring based solely on student services to guide you in learning aparticular subject by the teacher and the same, ie, purely academic tutoring that is stillused mostly university faculty. This model can be structured into three levels:transitional mentoring, tutoring and mentoring follow-up to finish their studies, and hasa broader objective consists of "providing information and advice to the student in orderto facilitate academic and social development and people "(Salinas and Cotillas).Transitional mentoring becomes, by its objectives, an element of undeniable importancein the process of convergence in which we find ourselves, not only because it is a formof methodological innovation, but even before it can become a tool extremely useful tomeet the changing needs of curriculum guidance that will generate a more immediatefuture the current reform of the curriculum
