Abstract

Since the creation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which constitutes an opportunity and a requirement for all people to respond to the world's challenges, European universities within the space generated by the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) assume their responsibility. The comprehensive nature of the 2030 Agenda allows the University to build a world committed to sustainable and inclusive development, justice, dignity and equality for all the people, responding to the challenges that the global context presents to universities, and for the international society as a whole. Therefore, the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) conceives higher education spaces as strategic fields of transformation-action so that they participate in sustainability policies and promote initiatives that contribute to a more sustainable and just world. In this article we propose a didactic unit in the module "German as a Foreign Language" for students enrolled in the International Business Degree, which deal with four of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). In this sense, we propose the possibility of linking the foreign language classroom as an instrument for the development of skills in the field of linguistic and cultural communication, which favor a creative, critical and committed student body
