Abstract

In a short space of time, the EU has been hit for the second time by a crisis of major dimensions. However, the current health crisis caused by the SARS-Cov-19 virus has specific characteristics that distinguish it from the previous Great Recession and which we intend to point out in this paper. We focus on conjunctural economic policy at the EU and Eurozone level. We begin with a contextualisation of the crisis, and then detail the economic policy measures applied to contain it and the subsequent economic recovery. The contribution of the work lies in its topicality, the systematisation of the measures that we try to present in a synthetic and clear way, distinguishing between those of both national and European application in the EU, both monetary and fiscal.
