Abstract

Once the health crisis caused by COVID-19 is overcome, it is more than obvious that our society will have to face the economic and social crisis as a result of the first and aggravated by the culture broth we already had previously, since we start from ‘a very disadvantageous socio-economic situation for a large part of the population. During this crisis we have seen that the pandemic does not understand borders or nationalities, but it does understand social classes and vulnerabilities. We find large sections of the population living in poverty, below the poverty line, and at risk of social exclusion. This is not a new issue because from the Social Services and the various citizen and professional platforms we have been denouncing it for years.
