Abstract
After a long way through different judicial bodies, the Spanish Constitutional Court has came to an end to the discussion over the limits of the digital newspaper archives with regard to the right to personal data protection. The Constitutional Court’s judgment of 4 June 2018, has changed the criteria of the Supreme Court in this matter. Also in that resolution the Constitutional Court has recognised the right to be forgotten on the Internet for the first time and it has been granted a fundamental and autonomous character.
