Abstract

This paper stand out some connections between urban policies and practices of heritage construction, comparing the different uses of cultural heritage in four neighborhoods of the city of Valencia, with different historical background and social composition (El Mercat and El Carme, the Ciutat de les Arts and Sciences and El Cabanyal-Canyamelar). Each situation has led to specific types of neighborhood and citizen conflicts.
