Abstract

The objective of the present study was to determine the existence of differences in juvenile delinquency between adolescents who committed a crime in 2006 and 2015, and whether there were gender differences in crime variables. The sample was formed by 427 adolescents between 14 and 18 years old with a judicial measure in open means. The results show that more crimes are reported in 2006, recidivism is higher in 2015 and there is a growth of injury crimes in 2015. Regarding gender, women commit their first crime at a younger age, however men commit more crimes and have a greater relapse. In relation to the measures imposed, probation and internament are the most used in both years, increasing the time of the same in a significant way in 2015 compared to 2006. There is a change in the measures of SBBC against the SET, more frequent in 2015. The presence of measures with content reflects an increase of the same ones in 2015, being the most frequent those related to formative and occupational aspects, with the consumption of substances and with the family therapy.
