Abstract

In this work, we present the analysis of a didactic proposal based on a modelling activity. The proposal aims to work mathematical contents through the video game Bloons Tower Defense 5. It is a tower defense genre strategy videogame in which the player must defend a territory using defensive towers that fire at enemies autonomously. The analysis of the present didactic proposal is based on an experience carried out with 10th grade’ students. We will present some improvement proposals to the initial teaching model based on the results of the experience. The activity allows to work contents related to functions of the through modelling problem solving. Moreover, the exploratory results can promote future research on modelling.
