Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the figure of the teacher in the images of the textbooks of Physical Education (PE) in Primary Education (EP). A univariate and bivariate descriptive study was done through content analysis. The extracted sample of five publishers consists of 45 images, from 2/2006 Education Law (LOE). The results show a predominance of the female figure, young, white and ectomorph somatotype in PE classes; she is figure-thin young women and mature-thin man.
