Abstract
It's our goal to expose the main theories regarding migration and globalization. We believe that each theory about migration processes implies a theory about globalization and vice versa. We attempt to, for one, question the possibility of a univocal definition of both the concept of "Globalization" and "migration". Secondly, we propose that in modern societies the social structure is affected by migrations and globalization, since these implies the opening of frontiers to the flow of capitals and services. Nevertheless, this opening comes in hand with the progressive closure for immigration of the low-pay manpower.
