Abstract: This paper aims to expose and discuss the proposal to develop a pluralist egalitarianism as presented by Jesús Mora in his recent book entitled: ¿Igualdad para qué? Una propuesta de igualitarismo pluralista para el siglo XXI (Dykinson, 2021). In order to do so, we analyse what we consider to be its two fundamental threads of argument, namely the distributive egalitarianism of J. Rawls and G. A. Cohen and the relational egalitarianism of E. Anderson. We conclude our reflections by emphasising what we believe to be the strong points of Jesús Mora’s text and we question, through E. Anderson’s reflections on democratic equality, whether the defence of a two-pronged egalitarianism presented by J. Mora in his text is really viable. Palabras clave: Distribución, imparcialidad, poder, exclusión y vulnerabilidad. Keywords: Distribution, fairness, power, exclusion and vulnerability.
