Abstract

Plaza de Predicadores was configured as a vital festive and ceremonial space in the history of Valencia. Tournaments and parades were held in a huge square connected to the Palacio del Real through the namesake bridge. The prestigious Dominican monastery turned its facades, cloisters and immense walls into a huge canvas to exhibit ephemeral machines, paintings and tapestries during the Early Modern Age.
