Abstract

In the 19th century, artists' studios became both a space designed for work and a showcase for their creations. Fortuny's workshop in Rome was one of the most admired of the time, considered a sort of a "Factory" for colleagues, dealers and customers. There, the painter treasured an interesting collection of decorative arts to create an inspiring scenography, being the textile corpus one of the great protagonists.
