Zusammenfassung

This paper analyses the possible use of artificial intelligence systems in the civil judicial process to support judges when assessing evidence or adopting a precautionary measure. We discuss the issue that raises the most misgivings: the feared robot judge replacing the human judge. We conclude that computer systems can become useful tools for the judicial system in general and for judges in particular, but they would never replace them
