Abstract

Since the creation of the 2030 Agenda, which constitutes an opportunity and a requirement for all people to respond to the world's challenges, European universities assume their responsibility. The comprehensive nature of the Education for the Development and Global Citizenship (EDGC) allows the different educational areas – formal, non-formal and informal - to build a world committed to sustainable and inclusive development, justice, dignity and equality for all the people, responding to the challenges that the global context presents to universities, and for the international society as a whole. The following monographic shows how the application of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to the research and the educational innovation are essentials as axis of critical and social transformation.
