Résumé

The so-called minor orators deserve attention not merely because they give an explanation to the evolution of the genre of rhetoric itself, and of the social and cultural history of Greece as well; they are also authors of a literary work provided with its own features. In spite of the poor transmission of their discourses, these orators are of no less value than Lysias, Isocrates, Demosthenes, and Aeschines. With that purpose attention will be paid to avoid the biologist, the ideological and especially the Atticist perspectives, being the latter characteristic of many Greek scholars of the Imperial Age.
