Resumo

Stroke is a sudden disturbance of cerebral blood flow hat temporarily or permanently alters the function of a specific area of the brain. It has a prevalence in the adult population of between 500 and 800 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, it is the second cause of death in our country, approximately 50% of the survivors have some degree of disability, it is the first cause of disability and dependence. We think that in its prevention, risk factors should be eliminated to avoid its appearance, since it is a medical emergency, after whose very rapid medical treatment and stabilization the sequelae are reduced. Nursing interventions on these patients improve the outcome of ehabilitation due to the close relationship with this type of patients.
