Zusammenfassung
In Spain, Organic Law 3/2021, of March 24, regulating euthanasia has been published, whose fundamental objective is to regulate the right that corresponds to any person who meets the conditions required in this Law to request and receive the help needed to die, considering it as an individual right. As a consequence, active euthanasia carried out according to the parameters established in said law is decriminalized, but euthanasia behaviors practiced outside of them continue to be sanctioned. The Law fundamentally regulates the provision of aid for dying, the assumptions and requirements to access said provision, the procedure for carrying out said provision, and the creation of Guarantee and Evaluation Commission
