This paper present a novel approach based on largest event to analyze the time domain of geomorphological processes. A largest event is defined by rank in a temporal series of events, irrespectively of its magnitude. We offer different examples from original erosion plot data. The approach offers the possibility to estimate the minimum number of event to achieve a realistic number of measurements on soil erosion.
