Resum

This paper analyses the co-creation project “Talent Audiovisual Universitari, Pitching Universitats Valencianes-Sector Audiovisual” that is developed in the Autonomous Community of Valencia and in which the region’s universities, the production private sector and the public broadcasting corporation À Punt Mèdia take part. A total of 68 production proposals submitted by students have participated in the first two editions of this project, of which 30 were selected for the pitching stage and five of them have been chosen to be produced by production companies and eventually broadcasted by the public channel. This study aims to present the results of the first two editions (students involved, selected production proposals, range of formats and topics, production companies involved, etc.) and to use this information in order to prepare specific questionnaires addressed to the participants in the third edition to be held in October 2020 at the Jaume I University of Castelló. The participants in this event (around one hundred, including producers, university faculty and students) will answer a survey designed to identify, if applicable, the keys to the success of this co-creation project to attract the interest of younger audiences towards public media.
