Abstract
The pedagogical literature of recent years has abundantly collected the appeal to a State Pact for Education, as one of the most important elements for the improvement of education, in the idea of creating a scenario of complicities, outside of the party struggle, that offers stability to the educational system. Apart from other ingredients that make up the overall sense of an educational pact (political, social, economic, territorial), in this article we want to focus our attention on the more technical-peda-gogical perspective and address some challenges that, in our opinion, should be part of the immediate future of of educational policies.Without wishing to exhaust a subject that cannot be dealt with within the limits of this work, some pedagogical challenges are pointed out, as constitutive elements or foundations where the pedagogi-cal dimension of the pact can be sustained: the educational value of coexistence and citizenship, the firm commitment to an inclusive education, the student’s learning skills as the center of the teaching process, the need to rethink the curriculum content, the challenge of innovation and creativity, the renewal of methodologies and, finally, the requirement of a renewed professional teaching culture, will be the aspects to be addressed throughout the article.
