Abstract
This paper shows data concerning two different alkaline magmatisms that crop out in the Sierra de Javalambre (Teruel). The older one is pre-Hettangian in age and consits of subvolcanic silIs in the Camarena de la Sierra outcrop sorne of these silIs include granitoid enclaves of the Hercynian basement. The younger volcanism took place earlier than Middle Bajocian times and it is composed of mostly volcaniclastic rocks and of scattered lavas of small thickness.
