Resumen

The dissertation deals with one of the most hotly debated issues in Ancient History: the Roman Economy and its development over time. Economic macrostructures of the empire are its central concern. However, change and var¡at¡on at the micro-level are discussed in order to emphasize similarities, analogies and differences between the macro-economic system of the Roma Empire and the Global economic system of our time.
