Laburpena

The big extensión occupied by the cork-oak forests in Portugal is matched to their ecologic and chorological diversity. This allows to recognize three different vegetation series. These particularities show a marked differential character to the colonization by epiphytic lichens on cork-oak {Quercus súber L.). Different localities has been sampled in several forests of the previously cited series. We present some results and comments over the macrolichens colonizing the bark of these trees.
